Your rush hour spiked

The next time you take a ride on a highway make sure you scan it thoroughly as there might be a strong possibility that a nail might puncture your tyre and your pocket. This Saturday Pune witnessed 50 flat tyres in 60mins on the busy stretch between Nasik Phata and Harris Bridge on the Pune Mumbai Highway (NH4).
The victims speculate that the puncture shop owners along the highway spiked the highway with nails and other sharp objects to earn a few quick bucks. They have gone ahead and lodged complaints with the police station however the cops say they are helpless as a puncture cannot be a sole reason to file a case. They want solid proof and then they can take action, but that’s not stopping them from keeping the highway under their secret checks.
This is turning out to be a fun ride for the ones who scatter nails along the highway to earn money, but not so much fun for the commuters. The nails and sharp objects could cause serious accidents as most of the bikers drive without a helmet.
Hope the cops and commuters are more vigilant and nab the ‘puncture goons’.
